Witches Sabbath (1797-1798) by Francisco de GoyaThis is a portfolio of projects I've done, mainly with a focus on Graphics, Branding, and UI work. Anything heavily related to coding isn't included.
Who is Francisco Goya?
Francisco de Goya y Lucentes (1746 - 1828) was a Spanish painter. He painted many portraits of the Spanish Royal Family. His most famous paintings are Charles IV of Spain and His Family and The Third of May 1808. He regularly painted the famous Duchess of Alba.
His Influence
Goya's brightly colored tapestry cartoons influenced French Impressionist painters such as Renoir, Monet, Manet, and Degas.
In the house that Goya owned, there are paintings on the walls known as the Black Paintings. They show scenes with the devil, witches, and war.
This collection of The Black Paintings influenced Expressionist painters.
- Expressionist artists try to express a feeling with what they create. Colors and shapes are not used in a way people see them, but as the artist feels them. Thus making interpretation much more creative, but also more subjective.
- Impressionism is a style of painting in which impressionist painting shows life-like subjects painted in a broad, rapid style, with brushstrokes that are easily seen and colors that are often bright.
